The 2nd edition of the Golden Demon took place on the 30th July 1988, at the Victoria Leisure Centre, in Nottingham, UK. This marked the 2nd event hosted in UK.
Artists from around the globe gathered at the Victoria Leisure Centre, all competing for the prestigious Golden Demon award, aiming to etch their names into history. 24 painters emerged victorious across the 10 categories. Of these painters 4 returned to claim another Demon and 20 claimed their first!
Ivan Bartleet lifted the Slayer Sword for the 1st time with the entry Barbarian War Mammoth in the Vignette category.
